Out for the Season

October 1  Terry Collins stepped down as the Manager of the New York Mets, saying “it has been a blast, but it is time.” It is likely Terry will remain with the organization somewhere in the front office. During Collins 7 year tenure, the Mets made it to Game 5 of the World Series in 2015, made it to the postseason in back to back seasons for only the second time in franchise history, Johan Santana pitched the first no-hitter in team history, Jose Reyes became the first Met to win a Batting Title, R.A. Dickey won 20 games, Matt Harvey started the All-Star Game at Citi Field in 2013, and finally the Captain David Wright became the all-time hits leader in franchise history. Collins has the second most wins in club history.
