game tonight with side tightness and Kevin Pillar was hit in the face by a 95
mph fastball in the 7th inning. Kevin left the game under his own power and he was taken to the hospital to take a CAT scan.

Jr. was put on the Injured List and Khalil Lee was recalled from Syracuse.

Hernandez will be a member of. Of course the Mets was

After last
night’s game, Hitting coach Chili Davis and his
assistant Tom Slater were dismissed from their duties. Hugh Quattlebaum
is the new hitting coach and Ken Howard is the assistant. Chili was from the
old school and management wants a coach that uses analystcs
a lot. Even though the offense came alive this weekend and the players like him
a lot, management chose to go in a different way. Also
it didn’t help for Chili that the Mets are last in the National League in
home runs and that their superstar shortstop Francisco Lindor is only hitting
.163 with just a home run.
Jacob deGrom is
the National League Pitcher of the month for April. DeGrom had a historic
month.

April 6 Tonight’s win is the first for team

April 5 Francisco Lindor collected his

April 2 The entire Mets Nationals opening series has
been postponed due to 4 Nationals tested positive for Covid. Major League
Baseball requires contact tracing of the 4, which is 5. That would leave the
Nationals without 9 players. I guess Major League Baseball didn’t want
Minor leaguers.
April 1 The Mets and their superstar shortstop Francisco
Lindor have agreed to a mega contract extension! The deal is for 10 years worth $341 million dollars, plus $21 million dollars
signing bonus. The contract also has a limited no trade clause and deferred
payments to 2041. The Mets acquired Lindor on January 7 in a blockbuster trade
with the Indians. Lindor set an Opening Day deadline that a deal must be reached and Owner Steve Cohen delivered. It is the third
biggest contract in Major League Baseball history.
