Kessinger signed a minor league contract with an invitation to Spring Training.
Kessinger provides depth in the infield.

According to
reports, Craig Kimbrel signed a minor league contract with an invitation to
Spring Training. Kimbrel appeared in only 14 games with the Braves and Astros
posting a 2.25 ERA. Craig has 440 saves, one of the best in major leagues. If
he makes the team, he will earn $2.5 million dollars.

Cooper
Criswell was traded to the Mariners for cash considerations.
Richard
Lovelady was released.
January 22
Vidal Brujan was acquired from the Twins for cash considerations.
Brujan can play everywhere which is appealing.
Freddy
Peralta and Tobias Myers were acquired from the Brewers for Brandon Sproat and
Jett Williams. Peralta is an ace striking over 200 batters and was 17-6 with a
2.70 ERA.
Tobias
Myers’ most recent full MLB season (2025 with the Milwaukee Brewers) saw
him pitch primarily in a swingman/relief role, finishing with a 3.55 ERA over
50.2 innings.

Luis Robert
Jr. was acquired by the White Sox for Luisangel Acuna. Luis is an elite
centerfielder who once hit 38 home runs in 2023.

Robert Jr.’s most recent full season (2025) was a mixed bag: strong
defense and speed, but a down offensive year, finishing with a .223 average, 14
HR, 53 RBI, and a career‑high 33
stolen bases.

Carlos
Beltran is a Hall of Famer! Beltran received 84.2% of the vote in his fourth
year of eligibility. Carlos played for the Mets from 2005-11 and was one of the
best Met of all time. Beltran is likely to go in the
Hall with a Mets cap. Carlos will go in the Hall with
Andruw Jones and Jeff Kent on July 26.
From
2005–2011, he posted 149 HR, 559 RBI, 100 SB, and a .280 average across
839 games, all career highs with any team.

Bo
Bichette signed a three-year contract worth $126 million dollars that includes
2 opt out clauses. Bichette played with the Blue Jays throughout his career is
great offensively and is expected to switch to third
base, a position that he has never played before.

Thursday.

to their respective one-year deals.

report, Mike Baumann to a contract, financial terms are not known. Baumann
pitched in Japan last season.

McNeil was traded to the Athletics for pitching prospect Yordan Rodriguez. The
Mets also are sending $5.25 millions. McNeil spent 8 seasons with the Mets during
which he won the National League Batting Title in 2022. However
there are rumors he was a troublemaker in the clubhouse.

Weaver has signed a two-year, $22 million contract with the New York Mets,
leaving the Yankees bullpen to join their crosstown rivals. The contract is for
two years worth $22 million dollars, pending a
physical. In 2025, He finished with a 3.62 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 64.2

signed a minor league contract with an invitation to Spring Training. Pache is
a defensive whiz in the outfield.

Polanco signed a two-year, $40 million contract with the New York Mets, where
he’s expected to primarily play first base as a replacement for Pete Alonso.The contract does not

Per Mets broadcaster
Gary Cohen on his record setting day “Pete Alonso is now the most
prolific home run hitter in New York Mets history.” He still is but he is
now a member of the Baltimore Orioles. Alonso signed a five
year contract worth $155 million dollars. Pete hit 264 home runs
surpassing Darryl Strawberry. It has been a sad week for the fans.

Edwin Diaz
is no longer a New York Met. Reportedly Diaz signed with the Dodgers for three
years and $69 million dollars. The Mets offer was three years and $66 million
dollars. Diaz is the third on the club’s saves list with 124. The
trumpets has been silenced.

Everett Jr. was signed to a minor league contract.

According to
reports, Devin Williams agreed to a 3 year contract
worth $45 million dollars. Before last season, Williams was an elite closer,
but last season with the Yankees he had problems.

The
Brandon Nimmo trade is official as he waived his no trade clause. The Mets also
sent cash considerations.
November 23 According to a report, the Mets are trading
Brandon Nimmo to the Rangers for Marcus Semien. It is an
one for one trade. Nimmo has spent his entire 10 year
career with the Mets and has a full no trade clause, so he can veto the trade.
Semien finished 3rd in the MVP voting in 2023, but
slacked off in 24 and 25. Marcus is still great defensively.

agreed to an one year contract worth $3.8 million
dollars, avoiding arbitration. Also Mike Kranick,
